Ongoing tutoring is offered through a regular subscription, with assessments, ad hoc sessions and additional professional support available separately.
How Our Pricing Works
Ongoing tutoring is offered on a subscription basis, securing a regular weekly session throughout the academic year. This gives the tutor continuity with the learner and allows teaching, planning and resources to develop around their needs over time.
Initial consultations and assessments, ad hoc tutoring and additional professional services can also be booked separately where appropriate. You do not need to commit to ongoing tutoring in order to use an assessment service.

Assessment time may be structured differently depending on the learner, subject and level. Where appropriate, work may be completed beforehand and reviewed or marked by the tutor before the live element. See our Services page for details of how each starting option works.
All initial-session options can be booked as standalone services, with no obligation to continue into ongoing tutoring. Where a written summary or recommendations are included, these are yours to use whether or not you continue with us.
Ongoing Tutoring Subscriptions
Ongoing tutoring is paid in 11 equal monthly instalments across the academic year. The subscription secures the learner's regular weekly session and includes the planning, preparation and ongoing feedback shown below. August is a tutoring break, with no regular sessions.
Subscription level is based primarily on the level of teaching required, rather than the learner's age. This means the pricing reflects the curriculum and academic support being provided.

Each monthly subscription includes:

- Brief weekly feedback via Google Classroom
- One end-of-year review call of up to 30 minutes
Each subscription covers one weekly session. Additional sessions are charged separately where available.
For continuing students, the September instalment is due by 1 August to reserve the learner's regular weekly slot for the new academic year. Monthly payments then resume in October.

Flexible & Ad Hoc Tutoring
Ad hoc sessions are available for targeted short-term support, such as a particular topic, revision, preparation before an assessment or occasional academic support. They are subject to remaining tutor capacity, with ongoing students prioritised.

Bespoke Support
The published subscriptions suit many families, but some learners require substantially more than supplementary weekly tutoring. Where we are taking greater responsibility for curriculum delivery, providing increased teaching frequency or delivering a significantly higher level of planning, marking or educational support, we may recommend a bespoke arrangement and agree the cost in advance.
This may also apply to adult learners or families whose scheduling or educational circumstances require a different structure.
Pricing Questions
What does the monthly subscription cover?
The subscription secures one regular weekly 1:1 session and includes tailored planning and preparation, access to Google Classroom and Google Chat, relevant subject resources to support independent study and appropriate stretch, brief weekly feedback via Google Classroom and one end-of-year review call of up to 30 minutes. It is a monthly tutoring arrangement rather than a pay-as-you-go lesson rate.
What if my child works above or below their age group?
Ongoing subscription pricing is based on the learner's current working level rather than age alone. We use the level of teaching and curriculum support required to determine the appropriate subscription.
Can we pay lesson by lesson?
Regular ongoing tuition is subscription-based. Ad hoc sessions may be available separately for targeted or occasional support, subject to tutor capacity.

August is a tutoring break, with no regular sessions. For continuing students, the September instalment is due by 1 August to reserve the learner's regular weekly slot for the new academic year. Monthly payments then resume in October.
What does one weekly session mean?
The subscription reserves one regular tutoring session each week during the teaching year, following the agreed tutoring calendar. The monthly fee is spread across 11 equal instalments rather than recalculated according to the number of calendar weeks in each month.
